Spinal Decompression is a non-surgical, drug-free answer for disc related syndromes of the lumbar or cervical spine and other spinal conditions. Many people across the country have found relief from the pain associated with herniated discs, bulging discs, facet syndrome, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerves, spondylolisthesis, stenosis, and other spinal afflictions. Spinal Decompression uses computer-aided technology to apply gentle, non-surgical decompression to the spine, increasing circulation and nutrition into the spinal discs and joints eliminating pain and dysfunction, and restores you to your pain-free lifestyle.

Why Spinal Disc Decompression Works:

This advanced technology relieves pain by enlarging the space between the vertebrae, increasing the disc height. The negative pressure created by decompression decreases pressure that builds in the disc, and on the nerves, allowing the herniated and bulging disc material to be drawn back into the proper position. Decompression is the most effective non-surgical treatment for severe cases of disc herniation, degeneration, arthritis, stenosis, and spondylolisthesis.

According to the clinical study "Spinal Decompression" by Thomas A. Gionis, MD, JD, MBA, MHA, FICS, FRCS, and Eric Groteke, DC, CCIC, 86% of all cases experienced pain relief with non-surgical spinal decompression.

Spinal Decompression is a treatment specifically designed to heal the discs by decreasing the pressure on the nerves, alleviating the pain in your back and down your legs.

Often, back pain symptoms are a result of aging. During the aging process your disc will degenerate to varying degrees, narrowing the spaces available for the nerves. The nerves are living tissue and require a good blood supply, proper nutrition, and plenty of oxygen. As nerves are compressed, they cannot effectively send and receive signals to and from the brain. When nerves send and receive the wrong signals, it affects your walking, standing, and all aspects of function including strength and coordination. You can have problems with balance, experience pain, numbness, tingling, or burning, or it may feel like your leg is "going to sleep." Activity causes more pressure on the nerves, and even more pain. This is often why back pain is much worse when we walk or bend.

Spinal decompression is a comfortable therapy that relieves the pressure, relieving the pain in the process. Decompression gently separates the joints of the vertebrae, creating a negative pressure within the intervertabral disc. This negative pressure pulls herniations or bulges back into the disc, allowing the body to heal the torn outer layers. As the disc heals, it is strengthened and the symptoms subside. Another positive aspect of decompression therapy is that the negative pressure draws the nutrition and water necessary for the disc to rehydrate, as well as to repair itself, heal properly, and return to its proper function to allowing movement and shock absorption. Usually after your treatment is over, you can return to a pain free lifestyle and resume your daily activities.
